Union Street Market announces two new merchants

Union Street Market announces two new merchants: The Kitchen & Co. Wine Bar and Pasta di Guy. Both merchants will be located in the Market’s East Hall.

The Kitchen & Co. Wine Bar will feature a broad selection of locally produced wines from award-winning Indiana vintners, including Dash 90 Wines & Country Heritage Winery, plus great pours from the world’s top wine-producing regions. Patrons will be able to enjoy wines, cheeses, and cured meats thoughtfully paired by the knowledgeable The Kitchen & Co. staff. The Kitchen & Co. Wine Bar is expected to open this fall.

“Our goal is to make delicious wines more accessible by helping our customers learn about and enjoy wine at affordable prices,” said Jennie Krider, owner of The Kitchen & Co. “We are expanding at Union Street Market because it welcomes everyone, so it’s the perfect place to share our passion for great wine and food.”

Pasta di Guy, an award-winning Italian eatery, enters the Fort Wayne market from Tampa, Florida. Owner Guy Carmeli’s enthusiasm for pasta ties directly to his family’s ancestry in Italy, while his techniques were honed at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in London. Expected to open later this year, Pasta di Guy will offer scratch-made pastas, sauces, dressings, and more within the Union Street Market location.

“I chose Fort Wayne for my first location outside of Tampa for three main reasons: my wife’s family lives here, I love the local Fort Wayne community, and I’m impressed with Union Street Market. The Market offers the perfect setting for our business because it’s a great place for the community to try different cuisines and experiences, rents are affordable, and the historic spaces are beautiful.”

The opening of these new businesses will provide even more enticing dining options at Union Street Market.

“We are excited that current merchants are expanding and that new entrepreneurs are choosing Union Street Market,” said Ermin Husidic, Market Director. “The wine bar will have its soft opening very soon, and we look forward to welcoming guests to stop by for a glass or tasting.”

Exact opening dates for both businesses will be announced on social media.
