Fort Wayne’s Farmers Market kicks off summer season May 18 at Electric Works

Fort Wayne’s Farmers Market will kick off its second summer season at Electric Works on May 18. The Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through the summer, with over 30 local vendors set up along Dynamo Alley.

The Electric Works campus offers visitors numerous parking options, including street parking and up to 2 hours of free parking in the Union Parking Garage or any of the surface lots.

Established in 2012, Fort Wayne’s Farmers Market hosts a constantly changing variety of products, including meat, produce, farm products, baked goods, jewelry, artisan crafts and more. In addition to shopping throughout the Farmers Market, Union Street Market at Electric Works will be open to offer a variety of local food and beverage options. Union Street Market also provides shade and plentiful seating for visitors.

Ermin Husidic, director of Union Street Market at Electric Works, said, “Fort Wayne’s Farmers Market and Electric Works are a perfect match. All of the Farmers Market vendors are local, as are all of our merchants at Union Street Market. Visitors can shop, eat, drink and enjoy a festival-like atmosphere with live music every Saturday through the summer.”

Electric Works provides a full calendar of events, which includes the Farmers Market each Saturday throughout the summer.
