Electric Works and the businesses along Broadway invite the community to attend two free events along Broadway this month.
Art on Broadway is a long-standing local art and gallery crawl. On July 22, the businesses participating in Art on Broadway will host art pop-ups or artist showcases in their spaces, featuring over 12 local artists across all venues. Many of the venues will offer food, alcohol, and/or live music. Some participating studios are usually closed to the public, making this a wonderful opportunity to visit the artisans and fine artists located along the Broadway district. Find out more about this event here.
Since 2017, The Broadway Street Stroll has celebrated the culture along Broadway. The 6th Broadway Street Stroll, on July 23, is designed for families to enjoy local art pop-ups, showcases, and other activities across multiple locations in the Broadway district. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the businesses along Broadway will activate their alleys and sidewalks, and many venues will offer a hands-on art activity, demonstration, or live music.
Event maps will help community members navigate the Street Stroll, and event passports allow participants to enter to win a Broadway Basket (a prize package featuring items from all the venues along Broadway). Some of the highlights include live painting, glass art demonstrations, face painting, a petting zoo, live music, a live DJ performance, painting lessons, poem markets, and much more! More information about this event can be found here.
