In a 6-3 preliminary last night, the Fort Wayne City Council approved a $10 million Legacy Fund request – an essential funding component of the Electric Works redevelopment project south of downtown, writes the Journal Gazette.
“This is the biggest neighborhood investment that Fort Wayne has ever had, and it shows we want to lift up the community that surrounds Electric Works and to give the residents hope that their neighborhood will improve,” council member Geoff Paddock said.
