You’ll be the driving force behind our weekly happenings and major activations, from creative concept to flawless execution. If you’re a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with a passion for bringing ideas to life, we want to hear from you. You’ll report to the Chief of Operations and work closely with the CFO and various on-campus and external partners.

Requirements

  • Event Operations & Execution:
    • Serve as the primary on-site representative for recurring and large-scale events, ensuring smooth operations and vendor satisfaction.
    • Lead the planning, setup, logistics, and breakdown for major events, taking full ownership from start to finish.
    • Oversee events involving food & beverage, collaborating with vendors and restaurants for seamless service.
    • Personally assist with day-of needs, including signage, seating, layout adjustments, and vendor check-in.
    • Be accountable for operational excellence, even when coordinating multiple moving parts.
  • Programming & Idea Generation:
    • Manage and improve systems for weekly programs like vendor pop-ups and live music, focusing on growth and improved execution.
    • Identify programming gaps and proactively fill them with consistent, engaging events.
    • Regularly pitch new large-scale event ideas to increase campus visibility and engagement (aiming for one major activation every couple of months).
    • Constantly pitch and test new ideas that activate campus space and reflect the spirit of Electric Works.
    • Design seasonal and thematic programming that engages the community, encourages repeat visits, and highlights local talent or culture.
    • Stay informed about trends and successful programming in similar markets to ensure offerings are fresh and forward-thinking.
  • On-Site Presence & Physical Expectations:
    • Be physically present at as many events as possible, especially during setup and teardown.
    • Ability to be on your feet for 6+ hours at a time, especially on event days.
    • Ability to lift 40+ pounds and move event equipment (tables, chairs, signage, sound gear, etc.).
    • Personally assist with full event setup and breakdown, modeling a hands-on, all-in leadership approach.
