The Fort Wayne market

Fort Wayne is the urban center of Northeast Indiana, a region with a population of nearly 780,000. The city is located two hours from Indianapolis and three hours from Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland. Fort Wayne is the second largest city in Indiana, following Indianapolis. Companies with a significant presence in Fort Wayne include the General Motors Truck Group, Lincoln Financial Group, BF Goodrich, BAE Systems, Steel Dynamics and Sweetwater Sound. Parkview Health Systems is the leading employer, with more than 6,600 employees. Fort Wayne’s International Airport provides direct flights to a number of markets, including New York, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit and Charlotte.

The potential with Electric Works is immense and exciting – and, as you can see, our plans for potential usage of the campus’ buildings is equally exciting. Currently, our site plan calls for up to 7 different uses for campus buildings, including innovation / education, hospitality, tech / maker space, and, of course, residential, commercial and community.
