Both began their musical expeditions with piano from a young age\, and each has had their own storied musical journey in addition to co-founding Farmland Jazz Band in 2012. Ed Renz (sax\, woodwinds) holds a degree in music from Indiana University and has performed around the world with many esteemed music organizations including the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra\, Miss Saigon\, and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. Currently holding the post of saxophone teacher at Sweetwater\, Ed continues to perform in a variety of local acts. John Renz (drums\, percussion) has been the resident percussionist for the Fort Wayne Civic Theater and has performed with diverse regional ensembles including the Fort Wayne Jazz Orchestra\, Purdue Wind Ensemble\, the JK O’Donnell’s Celtic house band\, and numerous other collaborations. DESCRIPTION:Join us for live Jazz music in the Market hosted by the Renz Brothers and featuring Dave Latchaw and Brad Kuhs. \nThe “Renz Brothers” have been making music as such since 2008\, but their musical endeavors began much earlier while growing up together in Fort Wayne. Both began their musical expeditions with piano from a young age\, and each has had their own storied musical journey in addition to co-founding Farmland Jazz Band in 2012. Ed Renz (sax\, woodwinds) holds a degree in music from Indiana University and has performed around the world with many esteemed music organizations including the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra\, Miss Saigon\, and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. Currently holding the post of saxophone teacher at Sweetwater\, Ed continues to perform in a variety of local acts. John Renz (drums\, percussion) has been the resident percussionist for the Fort Wayne Civic Theater and has performed with diverse regional ensembles including the Fort Wayne Jazz Orchestra\, Purdue Wind Ensemble\, the JK O’Donnell’s Celtic house band\, and numerous other collaborations.
