DESCRIPTION:Join the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network for Nourishing our Community with our Local Food System to learn how we can grow community health and wealth through food. \nThe conference’s Keynote Speaker is Kate Krauss\, Executive Director of Fair Food Network\, whose national leadership in nutrition incentives and food system impact investing has strengthened community food systems across the country. \nKate Krauss will share the impactful work and inspiring story of the Fair Food Network and their belief that when we start with food\, so much is possible: collaborative solutions\, vibrant communities and new paths forward as we grow a more equitable\, resilient food economy. \nThis half-day event will feature Panel Discussions with Q&A on three key impact areas: \n\nFood Is Medicine\nFood Insecurity\nFarm to School\n\nThis free event includes a lunch featuring ingredients from local farms and meaningful discussions over lunch about actions our community can take to nourish our community with our local food system to grow the health and wealth of our region. \nAn optional tour of the Fort Wayne Community School’s Amp Lab will be offered after lunch. This unique school exists to create opportunities for students to explore their passions\, apply their talents\, and make our community a better place. \nThis event is free\, but registration is required.
