DESCRIPTION:The Local Fort Wayne is hosting its first live panel event on Thursday\, Sept. 12\, 7-9 p.m.\, at Chapman’s Brewing at Electric Works\, in partnership with Three Rivers Active Streets. Editor of The Local\, Kara Hackett\, will moderate a discussion about how Downtown can evolve to improve cycling for transportation\, including an exclusive opportunity to learn about three projects:  \n·        The Elex. President and General Manager Kevan Biggs of The Biggs Group will speak on the first residential development underway at Electric Works and how the project will connect to Downtown. \n·        The Urban Trail. Community Development Administrator for the City of Fort Wayne Joe Giant will speak on current and future trail routes for a more inclusive transportation system. \n·        Safer Streets. Broadway Business Owner of Aaron’s Fine Rugs Dane Leitch will speak on the benefits of cycling to small business and citizen efforts to reduce speed limits. \nThe event begins with time to meet\, mingle and purchase food and drinks at Chapman’s\, followed by a panel discussion 7:30-8 p.m. and public Q&A.  \nFREE tickets will be capped at 40 guests and are expected to sell out\, so reserve your seats this secure link.
